Dallas surprises couples who don't expect much from it. The food scene is genuinely excellent, the neighbourhoods have real character, and the match day experience at AT&T Stadium is one of the best in the tournament.
What Fanway Plans For Couples in Dallas
When building a couple's trip to Dallas, Fanway factors in:
- 3km radius from your location for nearby recommendations
- Date-friendly venues — rooftop bars, quiet neighbourhood restaurants, walkable evening areas
- Match day transport to AT&T Stadium in Arlington built for two
- The Dallas heat — morning activities, shaded options, indoor venues mid-afternoon
- Neighbourhood recommendations that avoid car-dependency where possible
This is what that looks like on the ground.
Day 1 — Arrive Together, Explore Together
Morning: Bishop Arts District. This is Dallas's most couple-friendly neighbourhood — walkable, charming, with independent coffee shops and brunch spots on every block. Start here, take your time, and get a feel for the city at its most relaxed.
Afternoon: Head to the Dallas Arts District — the largest urban arts district in the US. The Nasher Sculpture Center is particularly good for couples: outdoor sculpture garden, elegant building, and a café. Takes 2 hours at a comfortable pace.
Evening: Dinner in Uptown. The neighbourhood has a high concentration of good restaurants — Lavendou Bistro Provençal for a French meal worth the occasion, or any of the spots along McKinney Avenue for something more casual. Walk the neighbourhood after dinner.
Day 2 — Match Day
Morning: Klyde Warren Park for a slow morning. Food trucks, outdoor games, and a green space in the middle of the city that's pleasant in the morning before the heat builds. Pick up coffee and pastries and sit somewhere comfortable.
Afternoon: Rideshare to AT&T Stadium in Arlington — budget 35–45 minutes. The stadium is enormous and impressive even from the outside. Explore the fan zone together before heading inside. AT&T Stadium has some of the best screens in world sport — the match day production is worth experiencing.
Evening: Post-match, rideshare back to Deep Ellum for food and a drink. The neighbourhood is at its best on a match night — full of fans, live music from the venues spilling onto the street, and a genuine atmosphere.
Day 3 — The City, Your Way
Morning: Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza together. The Kennedy assassination history is one of the most compelling museum experiences in the US — go in the morning before it fills. Allow 90 minutes.
Afternoon: Head south to the Oak Cliff neighbourhood for lunch — Lucia on Bishop Avenue is one of the best Italian restaurants in Texas. Small, excellent, worth booking. The neighbourhood around it is pleasant to walk after.
Evening: Rooftop bar in downtown Dallas — The Rustic on Allen Street has an outdoor stage and views, or the rooftop at the Joule Hotel for something more intimate. End the trip properly.
