World Cup 2026 Los Angeles Trip Planner for Couples

Fanway Team·2026-05-16·4 min read

New city, new memories — and Los Angeles has a specific magic for couples. The light, the food, the beaches, and the football. This city works for two in a way that very few World Cup host cities do.

What Fanway Plans For Couples in Los Angeles

When building a couple's trip to LA, Fanway factors in:

  • 3km radius from your location for nearby recommendations
  • Scenic and date-friendly venues — rooftop bars, ocean views, quieter neighbourhood restaurants
  • Match day routing on the Metro K Line — easy and together
  • Neighbourhoods with walkable evening atmosphere
  • June weather — outdoor dining and rooftop recommendations

This is what that looks like on the ground.

Day 1 — Arrive Together, Explore Together

Morning: Venice Beach, but not the boardwalk chaos — Abbot Kinney Boulevard. This is one of the most pleasant streets in LA: boutiques, excellent coffee shops, and brunch spots built for a slow morning. Try Gjelina for brunch if you can get a table.

Afternoon: Drive or rideshare through the Westside — Santa Monica Pier for the view, then along the Pacific Coast Highway for 20 minutes just to take in the coastline. Stop wherever looks worth stopping.

Evening: Dinner in Culver City. The area around Helms Bakery has some of the best restaurants in LA — Ivy at the Shore if you want a treat, or any of the neighbourhood spots along Washington Boulevard for something more casual. Both work for couples.

Day 2 — Match Day

Morning: Grand Central Market in downtown LA. Get breakfast together from one of the stalls inside — the market has everything from egg sandwiches to pupusas to Japanese breakfast. Eat at the communal tables and take your time.

Afternoon: Metro K Line to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Direct, no surge pricing, arrives relaxed. Get there early and enjoy the pre-match atmosphere together. SoFi's open design means there are good spots to watch the warm-up from the lower concourse.

Evening: Post-match, head back to the Arts District or Silver Lake for dinner. Both neighbourhoods have excellent restaurants with proper couple-appropriate tables and atmosphere. Book ahead if you can — the city fills up on match nights.

Day 3 — The City, Your Way

Morning: Griffith Observatory. Take a rideshare up early before the heat builds. The views over the city from the observatory are the best in LA — Hollywood sign on one side, downtown skyline on the other. Walk the trails above the observatory for another 30 minutes if you want more.

Afternoon: Los Feliz for lunch. The neighbourhood below Griffith Park has charming streets, independent bookshops, and excellent casual restaurants. Sit somewhere with an outdoor table and take your time.

Evening: Rooftop bar in downtown LA — the Broken Shaker at the Freehand Hotel or the rooftop at the Line Hotel. Both have strong cocktail programmes and city views that are best at sunset. Book a table or arrive early.

Your Plan Should Know You Both Better Than This

This is a starting point. A generic couple's plan for LA.

Fanway builds it around where you're both staying, what you're both into, and your actual match dates. A couple in Santa Monica gets different recommendations to one staying near downtown — the app builds around your real location, not an assumed one.
